Shrub of the dry meadows and edge of the forest in warm areas at low altitude, growing to 0,50 m of which one uses the root.
Spiny restharrow is diuretic, prevents formation of renal and biliary calculi. Efficient against various affections of the urinary tract, cystitis, gout. Also : Legs oedemas, rheumatic pains. Out of infusion : 1 coffee spoon of crushed root for 1 boiling cup of water ; 3 cups a day. Decoction ; 30 g of crushed roots for 1 liter of water, gently boil 20 minutes ; to drink in tree times a day.
