Plant of the underwoods from 0,15 to 0,25 m of which one uses the leaves.
Periwinkle is useful in case of arteriosclerosis, arterial hypertension and diabetes. Also prescribed as astringent for diarrhoeas, enteritis, haemorrhages.
In external use : Contusions, wounds, ecchymosis, angina sore-throats.
Decoction, 40 g of dried leaves for one liter of water, boil during 3 minutes, let infuse 5 minutes, 3 cups a day.
Periwinkle wine : macerate for 12 days 100g of leaves in 1 liter of sweet natural wine, filter; 1 small glass from time to time.
